first let me say that this is going to be a huge post...and by that i mean tons of pictures! mostly because they are my kids and i am obsessed with them, but also because we were at my favorite place on earth, the beach, and i tend to take more pictures than necessary while we are there :) i have finally taken the time to get these on the blog after a long, hard, and emotional couple of weeks. most of my energy has gone into praying for my friend's daughter libby claire and helping their family in any way possible. she is now back in a hospital in charlotte and doing a little better each day but still needs prayers for a quick recovery. click here to get updates.
so, our beach trip did not start out as planned. after only being there for 3 hours our daughter claire fell over her suitcase and hit her face on the bed frame. needless to say, we spent the entire night in the er getting xrays, ct scans, medicine, and dermabond. she broke her nose, had 2 lacerations on her face, and 2 black eyes! our poor baby girl had to stay out of the sand and water for a few days which seems nearly impossible for a kid at the beach. but we managed. and she survived! after that we were all a little on edge for the rest of our trip but we did manage to have some fun together too!

LOVELY! Enjoyed your pretty beach pictures. The navy and green looked great together, refreshing. So glad Claire is all mended and what wonderful news that was to hear about the smile libby claire gave her daddy. Catherine and I both talked yesterday about how we hope to meet libs one day. We head out tomorrow evening for our beach trip. We're so excited. I won't have internet there so I'll likely call you at some point to get an update. Miss you!
Your pictures are awesome!! I just want to pack you up and take you with me when we go on our annual mountain trip this year...especially with the little one! :)
I'm so happy to get updates on Libby Claire. She (and her family) is so blessed and it makes my heart so happy when I read of all the great news! And going home?! How wonderful!!
Hopefully K and I can meet up with you soon for some sewing.
